Cheers for the feedback. I'll plug those gaps ASAP and get it reuploaded.

Yar, 'data' is the plural of 'datum', though it doesnt often get used as such these days. If it bothers everyone I can change it, but i figured a smarmy supercomputer would use fancy grammer

I had a look on the file.
// [203] "qs"
NOption(203,Node_Session_Default,4);
// [204] "qs (second+ time)"
NOption(204,Node_Session_Return,4);
on the switchding-node. What are these two ?
// NOTE: Sci/Repair
It would help on the scripting part, if you could set exact values for skills needed.
// [421] "You are Xion 0.9, designed and created by General Atomics International to supervise their local systems and provide detailed analysis of complex data."
There is no way player with int 4 can say stuff like this
When you get this done, this is very easy one to script. So when you get this done, ill script it immediatly, in case there comes some questions, i could ask you while all the stuff are in fresh memory of yours.
Anyway, very funny and well written, i guess you already know that but still, good job.
ps. What would you think, if the 'brainless' on the public forum would try to do a voice acting on this one ?

'qs' was a way for me to skip past the intro bit for testing, the (second+ time) one being the start node for the second+ time you speak to him (assuming you get to the Qs the first time). I stuck that switcher in quickly to help me test it, I'll clear it all up for the next update, no worries.
Conditions/skill checks and that also coming soon
Good catch on the Xion line. That was c/p'd from the last version, iirc it's conditional on a certain holodisk somewhere that spells it out. I'll have to go through putting int values in at some point, but praps not till we bang out some standards so it doesn't vary too much from the rest of the game.
Scripting shouldn't be too hard (for someone who knows how to do that sort of thing), but best wait for me to nail down the rest of the location. Poking around my GAI folder reminds me just how much I've forgotten since I was working on it last, but happily enough there are several long explanatory documents I'd forgotten I ever wrote. I'll tidy them up and post them for inspection in due course.
As for voicework... not sure about brainless, he's got a bit of an odd accent to find on an AI - tho as I think I mentioned previously, a computer is the least strange place to find a foreign accent in post-apocalyptic texas. I think we'll cross that bridge when we come to it
Cheers,
~M

I thought it might. Leave it, then, since as you mentioned the computer would do that.

I'm not certain why, but I do like the idea. Wouldn't we get in shit though? or do we care about that?

i vote for Sam.
There are open source options aswell, what we could use.
( yea, open source doesnt mean we can use it like we want, but i think most licenses support noncommercial project like ours )

Yar, I thought about using a voice synth of some sort, but I'm not sure how well it would work - the shouty bits, especially, would come off as a bit dull and lifeless.
Unless praps we can do a bit of post-production and 'customize' each line to get better rhythm and phrasing and that, like MC Hawking does it. But that'll probably be even more work than voicing it properly.
